Farmer visit to offices

A trip for 2 of larg Broiler Breeder farmers to visit Germany and the Netherlands had been planned. They viewed hatcheries as well as Big breeder and broiler houses and were positively surprised.

This was as to present a complete line-up of intregation system and how it works in Germany and the Nethlands.

First a visit to the Netherlands to view a newly openend hatchery. The customers were surprised how effective these machines worked and how easy it was to use them.

They took comparison to their hatcheries, that needed to be updated and stated that these are the best they have ever seen.

The customers received a training on broiler breeder management and found many new aspects, that they had not known, such as the advantages of pan feeding, proper light and lighting programs amongst other things.

In line with this they viewed a broiler breeder farm and several broiler farms. They were particularly impressed by the low amount of work needed to work on the systems. The automatic egg collection for the breeder houses and the Viper controller that made it possible for just 1 person to run the entire farm.

Further, the broiler farms are all connected via the Big Dutchman Big Farm Net, making it possible to view all houses on portable devices, such as the iPhone or iPad. They were impressed by the continuoulsy high uniformity and low mortalitly rates in the houses.
